In hospital, the radio transmitters used by the mobile phones are risky for the health of the patients and that is why paging systems can be used instead. In the IT world, paging systems are highly used widely in those cases where on-call technicians can not rely on the mobile phone systems. Nowadays, the technology of the paging systems is also being applied in the fields of irrigation control systems and traffic control. But one of the major uses of modern pager systems is in the restaurant, where they are used to communicate with staff, and used by the clients to communicate with the waiters.
